The Kansas City Chiefs anted up on their powerful offensive attack this offseason with the addition of Texas burner Xavier Worthy in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Worthy is expected to bring his world class speed to the Chiefs’ offense this season. He could do so without his previously owned, personal vehicle in possession, which was stolen recently according to a report from NBCSports.com.

The news came during a time when the Chiefs’ 2024 NFL schedule was finally released. Game-by-game predictions for the defending Super Bowl champs were also released.

Worthy’s situation came as a shock to many, serving as a reminder that you can never be too careful in public places regardless of your standing in life.

Worthy’s Car Stolen From Apartment Complex

Worthy’s car was stolen from an apartment complex in Kansas City, by a “‘professional group of criminals who “knew exactly what they were doing.'” It was taken from a residential parking garage.

The car was stolen without a carjacking or injury recorded.

Worthy is a Fresno, California born wide receiver who ran an NFL-record time at the 2024 NFL Draft Combine. At 5-foot-11, he isn’t the biggest receiver but his blazing speed and awareness are expected to make him a contributor at the next level and a home run threat the likes of which Chiefs Coach Andy Reid hasn’t had in years.

Chiefs WR Corps Outlook for 2024

The Chiefs were led by TE Travis Kelce and WR Rashee Rice last season in the receiving game, with Justin Watson, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Noah Gray, Skyy Moore and Isiah Pacheco all contributing to help Patrick Mahomes win his third Super Bowl.

Watson led the team in yards per reception with 17.0 per catch. Worthy is currently penciled in as a starter on the Chiefs depth chart with Watson listed behind Rice at another WR position.

The Chiefs have the potential to be one of the best offenses in the NFL yet again, and Worthy could be a big part of it. The hope now for Chiefs fans and well wishes across the NFL is that Worthy is able to start his NFL career off on a better foot after the terrible, unfortunate news regarding his car that happened previously. If so, Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs could find themselves in a penthouse position after the 2024-2025 season yet again.
